B Walk 07-Jun-2026
Leader: Christine Follows
Distance (miles): 8.50
Ascent (feet):
Difficulty: Easy
Hole of Horcum, Pickering
Description:
From the bus stop on the A169 we walk through the village of Lockton and descend quite steeply into the valley where we follow tracks through farmland and woodland. Coffee and lunch stops to be determined on the day as there is no pub at lunch time. Eventually the path runs beside the railway line all the way to Newbridge and then via the castle back into the town of Pickering where there are a number of pubs and cafes as well as some lovely shops.
