B Walk 12-Apr-2026 Leader: Pam Skinn
Distance (miles): 7.50   Ascent (feet):   Difficulty: Moderate

Hessle to Brantingham

Description:

Brantingham circular We start our walk in the delightful village of Brantingham with its beautiful medieval church. The walk ascends the steep path near the church to reach the road at the top. Hopefully we will then see the lovely views of the Humber. Picking up the “Wolds Way” we pass Turtle Hill, travel through Welton Dale to the lovely village of Welton where there are seats by the stream for lunch and the Green Dragon pub for refreshments. There will also be the opportunity to see the grave of Jeremia Simpson who died in 1719 beating Henry VIII by having 8 wives! After lunch we leave Welton going uphill walking through a plantation before returning to Brantingham.
