B Walk 01-Feb-2026
Leader: Dave Chicken
Distance (miles): 8.40
Ascent (feet): 430
Difficulty: Easy
Wetherby
Description:
We start the walk in the popular town of Wetherby and wind our way through a few streets to leave the town to gain access to the track of a disused railway line, which will take us through Stockeld Grange Farm and into the grounds of Stockeld Park.
We traverse Stockeld Park on tracks and paths, and then follow a quiet country road into the village of Sicklinghall, here there is a village green where we can stop to eat our sandwiches before visiting The Scotts Arms, a lovely village country pub.
After lunch we leave the village via a quiet county lane and follow tracks and paths to reach the pretty village of Linton, we then make our way across Linton Golf Course to reach the banks of the River Wharfe,
We then cross a footbridge over the River to follow the river back into Wetherby to conclude our Walk.
